Soap is the alleged reason that a Eunice mother and daughter went to jail.
Sparkle Anderson, 26, and her mother Adrienne Patrice Savoy, 45, could not keep a clean record after Eunice Police responded to the Family Dollar on 1050 East Laurel Ave in reference to shoplifters on the premises.
Upon arrival, employees pointed out the 2 shoplifters to the officers who were identified as Sparkle Anderson and her mother Adrienne Patrice Savoy aka Adrienne Patrice Anderson.
Witnesses said that Sparkle was picking out the items and handing them to her mother and the mother was placing the items inside her purse.
When the shoplifters observed the officer enter the store the mother removed the items from her purse and place them on the shelf where they were standing, according to police.
The items were then photographed by the investigating officer on the scene where they were placed by the suspects. The items included 2 liquid Gain laundry detergents($5.50 each), 1 Gain Sunshine($5.00), and 1 citrus Soft Soap($2.85) for a $18.85 total value of the items.
The soap opera ended when both suspects were placed under arrest and transported to the Eunice Police Department where the mother and daughter were booked on charges of theft by shoplifting.
Both were released by summons after booking.
