Girl Scouts executive

MONROE – Services for long-time Girl Scout official Nan Salisbury will be Feb. 23. She died Feb. 6 at age 88.

She was executive director for a number of years of the Silver Waters Girl Scouts Council and a Girl Scouts volunteer before that. She was among founders of the First United Methodist Church Day School.

Survivors include four children.

Arrangements are by Mulhearn.

Auto electric owner

BATON ROUGE – Services for automotive electric business owner Vern LeBlanc will be Friday. He died Feb. 6 at age 93.

He was a veteran of World War II’s Pacific Theater. He owned and operated SandS Automotive Electric and introduced automotive air conditioning to the Baton Rouge area in the 1950s.

Survivors include a son and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.

Long-time School Board member

ST. AMANT – Services for long-time school board member Perry Sheets will be Saturday. He died Feb. 6 at age 79.

He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He retired as instrumentation supervisor with BASF and was an Ascension Parish School Board member for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife Roberta, a son and three daughters.

Arrangements are by Ourso.

Former town councilman, club owner

MARKSVILLE – Services for former town councilman and nightclub owner Malcolm “Mac” Baudin will be Friday. He died Feb. 5 at age 80.

He was a retired National Guard sergeant major. He owned Mac’s Roller Rink, which later transitioned to The Peacock Club. He served four years on the town council.

Survivors include his wife Grace, two sons and two daughters.

Arrangements are by Hixson Bros.
