ABBEVILLE – Investigation continues into circumstances leading up to the murder of two brothers in their home on Mardi Gras morning, the birthday of one of them.

Mike Guidry, 24, and Gary Guidry, who turned 25 on Tuesday, were shot dead in their home at 8 a.m.

Abbeville Police have not released information on how many times each one was shot or what type of gun was used in the shooting.

The Guidrys lived on the 800 block of Alphonse Street, which is off of Graceland Street.

The alleged shooter, D’Andre Jamal Senegal, 17, was arrested a few hours later on Pine Street.

He is charged with two counts of first degree murder.

Neighbors, who are still in disbelief, said they the killings were about a disagreement but didn’t know what the dispute was.

These two murders are the first murders in Abbeville in 2013. Last year there were seven total murders, and five are still unsolved.
