Eight people were arrested and $40,000 worth of illegal drugs were taken off the streets in Project Safe Neighborhoods in April, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz in a news release.
The Sheriff’s Office also seized seven guns, three vehicles and $9,600 in cash.
The Sheriff’s Office received a $44,500 grant for Project Safe Neighborhoods from the U.S. Department of Justice.
