NEW ORLEANS - R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Officials have officially invited the San Diego State University Aztecs to participate in the 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. The Aztecs (8-4) will take on the Louisiana’s Ragin Cajuns, from the Sun Belt Conference.

Executive Director, Billy Ferrante, extended the invitation via conference call this afternoon after a wild weekend of conference championships, “We couldn’t be more excited to have the San Diego State Aztecs represent the Mountain West Conference in this year’s game. We’re thrilled to have two teams that have never played in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl before, and we can’t wait to show them the one of a kind bowl experience that only New Orleans can deliver.”

The 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl will kickoff from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday, December 17 at 8:00pm on ESPN, and in 3D.
