A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Chataignier. Interment will follow in the St. Louis Cemetery with Brother Gary Mitchell, Brother Buddy Hampton, and Brother Ricky Boone officiating.
She was retired from the St. Landry Parish School as a Dietician at Eunice High School for 30-plus years. She was very active in the First Baptist Church in Chataignier, Head of the Kitchen Committee and prayer chain.
Survivors include her husband, Etienne Steve Boone, Sr. of Eunice; her six children, Elizabeth Francois and husband, Clint , Steven Boone and wife, Elizabeth, Oscar Lawrence Boone all of Eunice. Patrick Joseph Boone of Lafayette, Rev. Ricky Earl Boone and wife, Dana of Basile and Vanessa Kay Boone of Eunice and her adoptive son; Blake Fontenot of Basile; six sisters, Veda Bergeron and Helen Bellard both of Eunice, Shirley Nobles of Monroe, Mary Babineaux of Jackson, Margaret Strickland of Kentwood and Wanda Moyer of Osyka, Miss.; 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Etienne “ET” Boone; her parents, Oscar and Zellie Foster, and her brother, Leroy Foster.
Visitation will be at the church until time of services.
