Brian and Becky Tanner of Eunice are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amelia Kathryn Tanner, to Sean Michael Rider, son of Sean Rider and Leslie Rider, both of Eunice.

Miss Tanner is the granddaughter of Mrs. Donald Tanner of Eunice and Mrs. Bill Chapman of Warren, Ark.

The bride-elect is a graduate of St. Edmund High School and is currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with an anticipated graduation date of December.

Mr. Rider is the grandson of Mr. Terry “Coonie” Brown of Eunice, the late Frances “Lulu” Brown, Mr. George Rider of Eunice, and the late Wanda Rider of Eunice.

The groom-elect is a graduate of St. Edmund High School and Louisiana State University where he earned a degree in Biological Science in May of 2010. He is currently attending Louisiana State University Health Science Center School of Medicine with an anticipated graduation date of May 2014.

The couple will exchange vows during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, December 29 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice.
