Crowley scored three runs in the top of the third inning to pull ahead 7-5 over St. Edmund in a rain-shortened contest in Summer League play Tuesday at North Park.

The Gents jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first begun when Alex Ashby and Mick Morgan both singled and scored on a triple by Mackay Mouton.

The Blue Jays responded with a five-run explosion to retake the lead in the bottom of the first inning.

Biscuit Arnaud hit a two-out single to centerfield and scored on a passed ball to close the gap to 3-1.

Austin LaFleur singled and later stole home as the Blue Jays pulled closer, 3-2.

Christian Walker, Andrew Hunt and Adam Schatzle all walked to load the bases.

Starting pitcher Kramer Rozas ripped a base-clearing triple to give the Jays a 5-3 advantage.

Crowley’s Caleb Istre doubled and scored to close the gap to 5-4 in the top of the second inning before the Gents scored three more runs in the third to take control of the game.

Bubba Daigle walked, Ashby was hit by a pitch and Luke Ancelot bunted to load the bases.

Morgan hit in Daigle and Ashby as Crowley grabbed a 6-5 lead.

Ancelot scored an insurance run on a passed ball.

St. Edmund entertains Port Barre at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday before hosting Mamou on Thursday at Blue Jay Field.
