Mamou arrests

MAMOU - The Mamou Police Department reported eight recent arrests.

The following persons were charged:

•Crashanda Thomas, 23, 4321 Vidrine Road, Ville Platte, was charged May 30, with simple battery. Thomas bonded out of jail the same day.

•Charles Young Jr., 23, 1309 Jackson St., Mamou, was charged May 30, with simple battery. Young bonded out of jail the same day.

•Moses Pruitt, 55, 1616 Duos St., Mamou, was charged May 30, with theft. Pruitt was released from jail on June 1, for time served.

•Leotta D. Cockerham, 66, 505 Third St., Mamou, was charged May 31, with simple burglary of a movable and theft. Cockerham was transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail.

•Debra Bryant, 18, 413 Railroad Ave., Mamou, was charged May 31, with simple criminal damage to property. Bryant was released from jail on June 1.

•Anthony Bradley, 23, 221 Maple St., Mamou, was charged June 1, with aggravated Burglary. Bradley remained in jail at press time.

•Justin R. Parker, 33, 7749 Highway 71 south, Lot A, Alexandria, was charged June 3, with simple possession of marijuana and introduction of a controlled substance into a penal institution. Parker remained in jail at press time.

•Timothy J. Vanmol, 27, 750 Lamourie Road, LeCompte, was charged June 3, with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Vanmol remained in jail at press time.
