Eunice High senior D’aundric Johnson was placed on the All-District 4-3A first team.

Johnson (6-0, 165) led the team in scoring with an average of 17 points and eight rebounds per game.

Johnson had a single season career high of 42 points against district runners-up Iowa.

Bobcat senior Vondray Vallare was placed on the all defensive team as his presence was known on the court with his aggressive defense and his rebounding.

Senior Damar Robinson was an honorable mention on the all-district team. The District Champions for the 2010-2011 season is Crowley High and runner-up is Iowa.

At EHS’ basketball awards night, all basketball players received certificates for their participation during the season.

Johnson was named the team’s Offensive Player of the Year and also won the scholastic award.

Vallare won the Coaches Award, while senior Damar Robinson was given the Defensive Player of the Year as his relentless hustle was evident every time he touched the floor.

The last senior to receive recognition was cameraman Trey Godfrey.

The 2011-2012 Bobcat team anticipates the playing ability of senior Gracen Watley, juniors Derek Denton, Trennon Trosclair, Warren Guidry and Ben Allison and a host of many others.

The Bobcats move to a new district with perennial powers Rayne and Northwest along with Church Point, Port Barre, and Livonia.

In addition, the Bobcats will host the St. Landry Parish basketball tournament in the 2011-2012 season.
