Mayor Claud "Rusty Moody reported Monday afternoon that water and gas were back on at Eunice City Hall, and that the leaking pipe which had resulted in sewerage outflow in the Eunice Police station had been located.

Moody said that work to lift the sinking foundation of the police department would continue Tuesday.

Early Monday morning, police discovered that sewerage had leaked into the police dept.'s main hallway following work over the weekend to raise the uneven, sinking foundation.

Police were looking into evacuating the jail's 37 inmates before the problem was resolved.
