The circus is coming to town, Eunice Chamber of Commerce President Michelle DeRouen and Director Francine Hughes told Eunice Kiwanians last week.

DeRouen said a contract has been signed with a circus, to take place Nov. 9 at the Eunice Recreation Complex.

DeRouen said this is not like previous, small circuses. “This one is huge; it’s the big time,” she said, adding that it will have a “big top” tent capable of holding 2,200 people.

Chamber member Dr. Jay Miller said, “It’s going to have a huge big top, trapeze artists, the works. It’s going to be a huge event.”

DeRouen said more information is forthcoming.
