BATON ROUGE – St. Edmund seniors David Scott LaFleur and Brooke Fontenot capped off their stellar high school careers in fine fashion at the Class-1A LHSAA track meet held Thursday night at LSU’s Bernie Moore track stadium.

LaFleur grabbed second in both the 100 meters (11.06) and 200 meters (22.37).

Fontenot finished second in the triple jump at 35-7 and third in the long jump with a leap of 17-6.

The Blue Jays finished in a tie for fifth place with 28 points.

Brent Swann finished third in the 300 hurdles at 40.52 and fifth in the long jump at 21-6.

Cole Hebert finished fourth in 1,600 meters with a time of 4:43.80 and sixth in the 800 meters (2:08.19). He also finished sixth in the 3,200 meters at 11:30.19.

Adam Clause was sixth in the 100 meters (11.27) and the 200 meters (22.88).

The Lady Jays finished in ninth place with 22 points.

Catherine Bowie finished sixth in the pole vault at 8-0.

Brianna Ramirez finished third in the 32,00 meters with a 12:44.71 and sixth in the 1,600 meters with a time of 5:50.19.
