Concelebrating at the Nuptial Mass were Monsignor Earl Provenza, Reverend Philip Michiels and Father Conley Bertrand, great uncle of the bride. Barbara Hebert, aunt and godmother of the bride, Cynthia D.B. Hoflich, aunt and godmother of the groom, Cherie Fontenot and Matthew Kimbrough delivered the scripture readings. Following the ceremony, an elegant reception was held at the Shreveport Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Martin Rozas of Chataignier. She is the granddaughter of Arthur Rozas and the late Tessie Rozas of Chataignier, and the late Benjamin and Marion Landry of Houma. The groom is the son of Drs. Steven and Diana Bienvenu of Shreveport. He is the grandson of Douglas and Catherine Henry of San Antonio, and the late Dr. René Bienvenu, Jr., of Natchitoches; and Rosalie Di Iulio and the late Lt. Col. Wildo Di Iulio of Bossier City.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a softly fluted Alvina Valenta gown. The taupe satin-faced taffeta gown was completely overlaid with ivory Alençon lace. The V-neck front and back were accented at the natural waistline by an ivory satin ribbon with floral detail. An asymmetrical three-tiered hemline flowed into the sweep train. She wore a cathedral-length veil and carried a lush bouquet of fragrant gardenias, green orchids, and calla lilies. “Something old” was her grandmother’s handkerchief, “something new” was her headpiece, “something borrowed” was her grandmother’s rosary, and “something blue” were her shoes.
Lauren Nini served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Rozas and Madeline Jacob, sisters of the bride; Rachel Woodward, Dr. Lauren Szot, Dr. Katherine Prevost, Dr. Elizabeth Eldridge, and Nicole Broussard. Rebecca Jacob, niece of the bride, served as the flower girl.
Ryan Bienvenu served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Nicolas Rozas, brother of the bride; Peter Eckel, Dr. Robert Brocato, Andrew Medlin, Brad Schmidt, Dr. Mathieu Nader and Dr. Heath High.
Ushers were Ian McQueen, cousin of the bride, and Matthew Kimbrough. Benjamin Jacob, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
The bride earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 from LSU Health Sciences Center at Shreveport where she is employed as a physical therapist.
