St. Landry Parish Clerk of Court Charles Jagneaux expects his office to collect $26,500 more than it spends in the fiscal year beginning July 1.

If that figure holds, the office’s fund balance will be $1,061,206 on June 30, 2013, according to Jagneaux’s budget.

The clerk will hold a public hearing on his budget plan at 9 a.m. Friday, June 29 at his office in the parish courthouse in Opelousas.

Jagneaux forecasts revenue of $2,880,500 in the 12-month period, with all but $25,500 of that coming from fees associated with the various functions of the clerk’s office and the district court.

About $14,500 will come from licensing revenue and $10,000 will be interest income.

The cost of personnel -- wages, salaries and fringe benefits -- is estimated at $2,158,300 for the year.

About $103,000 will be spent on operating supplies and almost $569,000 on other operating expenses, according to Jagneaux’s legal advertisement of the budget hearing.

He plans $24,000 in capital outlay expense for the year.
