IOTA ~ Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Iota for Joseph Durphy “Cadillac Joe” Laughlin, 85, who died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 in Houma.

Fr. Jude Thierry, Pastor of Saint Joseph Catholic Church will conduct the graveside services at the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

A resident of Dulac, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and worked in the oil fields.

Survivors include two sons James Laughlin and his wife Pauline of Dulac, LA and Patrick Laughlin and his wife Sue of Houma, LA; 2 daughters Tracy Laughlin and her husband Terry of Dulac, La and Jennifer Laughlin of Los Angeles, Calif.; grandchildren Sara, Justin, Amy, Emily, Rene’, Mitch, Jessica, Denise, Mark, Stephanie, Jeaux Lis, Red, Joey, Chad, Melissa, Catherine and Sidewalk; great-grandchildren Sasha, Sierra, Layla, Joyce, Lexi, Dylan, Brooks, Noah, Sierra, Quinn, Caitlyn and Bug; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Alice Klumpp Laughlin; his wife Joyce Myers Laughlin; 2 brothers Oddess Laughlin and Murphy Laughlin; 3 sisters Eula Fontenot, Viola Guidry and Hazel Trahan.

Arrangements are by Geesey-Ferguson.
