In its annual fashion, the Sacred Heart High School Administration, faculty and staff honored its athletes for a job well done during the 2007-2008 school year last Thursday night. It was an amazing event. The theme of the night was the ESPN Zone, which was put on by the freshman. Chips and salsa were the appetizers for the night.

While individual awards for each sport were not awarded, the traditional major awards were. The Best All-Around Boy Award went to three male athletes. Derek Fontenot, Spencer Bordelon and Zack Ardoin each were recipients of the award. Each senior played multiple sports during their senior year at Sacred Heart and throughout their high school career for the most part. Fontenot was awarded the 2008 Male Trojan Award.

The girl’s were awarded the same awards on this evening. The Best All-Around Girl Award went to three young ladies. Lauren Parrott, Lyndi Vidrine and Anne Marie Fontenot each received the honor. All three seniors played multiple sports throughout their high school career. Parrott was the recipient of the 2008 Female Trojan Award.

Congratulations go out to all of the hard working Trojans for a great school year.
