In last week’s story about parish high schools’ pre-season football practices it was incorrectly reported that Breaux Bridge High would scrimmage Erath on Friday, Aug. 22.

The Tigers will actually scrimmage Erath on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 5:30 p.m. on the BBHS field. Admission will be $3 per person.

St. Martinville will also hold its scrimmage on Aug. 21 with the Tigers travelling to Lafayette High to meet the Lions.

The Cecilia Bulldogs will be at home on Friday, Aug. 22, for their scrimmage with the Northside Vikings set to begin at 6 p.m.

Parish fans are also reminded that advance tickets are on sale at each school for the Lafayette Kiwanis Jamboree set for Thursday and Friday, Aug. 28-29.

Breaux Bridge opens jamboree action at 6 p.m. on Thursday against the Acadiana Rams at ULL’s Cajun Field. Cecilia plays Notre Dame in the first game on Friday, while St. Martinville closes out the jamboree in Friday night’s third game against the Comeaux Spartans.

Advance tickets are priced at $5 and the local schools get to keep all the proceeds from their advance sales. Ticket prices jump to $7 at the gate, with participating schools receiving only half of the proceeds.
