The ceremony was held on Saturday, May 15 at 7 p.m. with Reverend Gil Dutel officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jonathan and Jennifer Fontenot of Eunice and the groom is the son of Janet Ward and the late Anthony Ward of Eunice.
Musicians during the ceremony included Connie Beaugh, organist; Arien Harper, vocalist; and Joe Stemplewski, trumpeter.
Gift bearers were Nanette Arnaud and Becky Fontenot.
Church lectors were Thad Richard, Lisa Richard and Gary Francois.
Altar servers were Drew Richard and Kelli Richard.
Church greeters were Macy Triplett and Danielle Richard.
Ushers during the ceremony were Christopher Arnaud of Eunice, Dusty Guillory of Eunice and Kyle Jo Hebert of Iota.
The bride, given away by her father, was radiant in an ivory and silver wedding dress accented with a sweetheart neckline. The strapless bodice was embellished with intricate embroidery and crystal detailing. The dropped waist was accented with asymmetrically ruched taffeta at the side hipline. The featured an Allure’s signature V-shaped back and button detailing.
Her headpiece was a fingertip tulle one-tier veil trimmed in crystal detailing.
The bride carried a hand-held bouquet of white shades of roses and hyrdrangeas accented with green dendrobium orchids, gathered and wrapped with a vintage broach and an antique rosary belonging to her great-grandmother.
Serving as maid of honor was Kimberly Fontenot of Houston, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Aimie Fontenot of Eunice, sister-in-law of the bride.
Bridal attendants included Katherine Ward of Baton Rouge, sister of the groom; Danielle Fontenot, Kiley Meche, and Lauren West, all of Eunice, friends of the bride.
The bridesmaids chose praline-colored taffeta- draped gowns. The strapless gowns featured asymmetrical draping and a flared skirting. They carried bouquets of nosegay roses, hydrangeas, cymbidium and dendrobium orchids gathered with almond satin ribbon.
Serving as flower girls were Ashlyn Fontenot, daughter of Ryan and Aimie Fontenot of Eunice, niece of the bride, and Nyssa Fontenot, daughter of Kirk and Paula Fontenot of Eunice, niece of the bride. They carried pomanders of porcalina roses and dendrobium orchids.
Serving as ring bearer was Blayton Fontenot, son of Ryan and Aimie Fontenot of Eunice, nephew and godchild of the bride.
Serving as best man was Jeremy Ward of Dallas, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen included Ryan Fontenot, Kirk Fontenot, both of Eunice, brothers of the bride; Derek Chachere of Iota, Brett Duplechin and Jason Zaunbrecher, both of Eunice, friends of the groom. They were pinned with cymbidium orchids with seeded eucalyptus boutonnieres.
The groom wore a single-breasted black notch lapel tuxedo with a matching ivory laydown collared shirt with an ivory paisley Windsor tie and ivory five-button vest. The groomsmen wore single breasted black notched lapel tuxedos with matching ivory shirts, praline paisley Windsor ties and black satin Windsor button vests.
Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at St. Thomas More Social Hall.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Sandals Resort in St. Lucia.
The bride is a graduate of Louisiana State University Eunice where she earned a degree in Radiology. She also attended the Institute of Ultrasound Diagnostics in Mobile, Ala. She is currently employed at Opelousas General Hospital as an Ultrasound Technician.
The groom is a graduate of Louisiana State University Eunice where he earned a degree in Business. He is employed at D&R Supply in Eunice.
The couple have made their home in Eunice.
