Louisiana eye surgeon died when a deer rammed into his motorcycle Thursday morning.
Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said Dr. William Steen, Jr., 71, was wearing a helmet when the buck struck his bike near the city about 7 a.m.
Steen fell from the motorcycle, which rolled about 500 feet before stopping at a thicket.
An oncoming vehicle struck and killed the deer.
Steen was a founder of the Steen-Hall Eye Institute, which
includes laser vision correction, LASIK, and cataract surgery and
the outpatient eye surgery clinic of Willis-Knighton hospital.
